STAY CONNECTED!

In December of 2018, we introduced the Black Poet Residency to our programming. It's an intensive and dynamic workshop series for young writers, performers and creative-minded individuals from across Hamilton.

As a member of the residency, youth have the opportunity to learn from and work with award-winning, critically acclaimed artists. Through their guidance, group members hone their skills, connect with the greater community, and create a strong, impressive professional portfolio; leaving a legacy for future generations of Black youth to be inspired by.

Some of us will be at the #HamOnt Trans Day of Remembrance #TDOR vigil tonight to honor the memory of trans people, especially our BIPOC comrades who have been killed due to trans misogyny and bigotry. If you want to go and need a buddy, DM us and we'll roll together.

Sending solidarity to my Trans and non-Binary friends and neighbours on this #TransDayofRemembrance

It’s important we acknowledge and morn the loss of those who were taken from us and commit to those who are still here fighting for trans rights.

Each Nov. 20, International Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day to remember transgender people, gender non-conforming individuals and those perceived to be transgender, who have been murdered and experienced violence due to hate. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
